I'm back

I mostly fly below the radar, so most of you may not have noticed I was gone, but either way I'm glad to be back. Now let's see if I can upload a video of the recent transplant to Penny.

Re: I'm back

Welcome back Henry. I guess by now you've deciphered all the mods that were done to it. What have you done to it in the meantime? What was the transplant?
Edit: Apologies John, I thought you were talking about your Cyclone. But still, what was the transplant?

Re: I'm back

I sold the Cyclone. I pulled out the tired 302 and c4 from Penny and installed a late model 302 with a monster trans AOD. I still need to get an alignment and take her to the muffler shop. She does sound pretty sweet with the flowmaster 40's, but I'm sure those will go, just need to figure out the ole dilemma of what sounds good with no drone.

Re: I'm back

I recently replaced my Flowmasters with Walkers, which are supposed to eliminate the drone.  They do, But the Flowmasters sound better.

Good to have you back, John.  Hope you'll be able to make the bash later this year.

Re: I'm back

I used to have 2.5” flowmaster 50’s. No drone at all. I just hated having all that weight hanging under the car.

I think a 302 with 2” pipe and 18” glasspacks sounds real nice.  That is what that 66 GT coupe I just sold had on it.  And I am certain they were not NEW glasspacks.

I have the Blowmaster 40's and with the tailpipes running all-the-way to the rear I have no drone.
With an X-pipe in the mix you shirley shouldn't have drone.
Now.....dump them at the rear axle (where they 'really' sound cool) and.....drone-city!

Re: I'm back

I have full length headers, w/2.5" exhaust system, Magnaflow mufflers, with turn-down exhaust tips at the rear valance.  Drone is minimal ... however, I may not hear as well anymore!
