Re: 1968 Mustang With FACTORY DISC (single piston junk).....Can I convert?

Any insight on the rear disc question?  It's been made clear the collective understanding is that the 4-piston K/H breaking power isn't an improvement over the Single Large Piston Factory Ford Style.........would there be worthy improved breaking converting the rear to disc? (Cost/improvement factor)

When I had the Granada spindles and single piston calipers, the semi-metallic pads for “police” and “taxi” service worked great.

My 65 coupe stopped better than my 92 GT hatchback.

Nice car.

Your 92 had 10” discs. Not much comparison…

Money you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted money... unless your wife finds out.

2.3’s had 10” rotors.

5.0’s had the big 10.9” rotors.😂

Ty,

I switched to rear disc brakes as the drum brakes on the 9" rear I removed from a 59 Ford needed drums, backing plates, etc, etc.  Converting to discs wasn't going to cost much more then renewing the drum system.  Plus, discs are easier to replace, etc.
BTW - I'm glad I made the change.
