1967 Cougar

Had a friend call me yesterday about a 67 Cougar he recently bought.  His question was about headliners.  Would a  Mustang to Fear one piece headliner fit in that 67 Cougar?
I know nothing about Cougars and even less about headliners!!

Re: 1967 Cougar

Maybe not. I spent 2 years restoring one for somebody, and the thing about 67Cougar is from the firewall back it gets a bit different. If I remember the windshield and door glass was same as mustang but the quarter glass changed making roof longer and different around the rear window.

Now you got me wondering. I would have to ask Gill the owner to be sure. He has gotten best of show awards over the years..

Re: 1967 Cougar

Didnt they do a 1968 Cougar?  It had a regular headliner in it.   I'm going to go with no, it would be too short at the rear window and sail panel area.

If multiple things can go wrong, the one that will go wrong will be the one that causes the most damage.

Re: 1967 Cougar

As far as I can remember, the 67/68 Cougars are 17 cm longer between A and C post then the Mustangs of same years!

Has been a long time since I had a Cougar under my hands!

West coast cougar has headliners, don’t know about one piece though.
Best call them, good people to deal with.
