I have driven multidisc clutches street and track worked fine. I just don't have a requirement for that complexity. Like TKO says, higher HP with a lot of shifting can make a multi disc shine. More friction surface with the correct spring load can smoothly handle High HP. You just need the right friction material and clamp load. That is where the technical folks at South Bend Clutch always did good for me.

All the Diesel guys run South Bend clutches. Their reputation in that community is second to none.
