In the lower pic I see some faint numbers, maybe clean that end a bit to get a better look?

Her's a sheet of HO cam specs from 1985 + if you can measure the lobe lift this might lead you in the right direction. You could also determine if the firing order is HO or standard by comparing the lobe heel positions .

The Explorer camshaft that I have is marked “TE” twice approximately 180 from each other.
Other end has a “T” stamped and time and partial date (year drilled out).

This has TETE between cam gear and first lobe. I am waiting on better pics of the rear end numbers.

I think its a 94 to 97 truck cam. A tiny step below an HO cam. The Ford guys want it.

Greg is 100% correct. I have the same cam pulled from a 96 5.8. 256/266 duration and 0.422/0.448" lift

Thanks, guys. I figured the TE was truck engine, even if it does have a Z stamped on its hiney.

Do you need a real NOS Ford cam? Or could you get a cam grinder to grind you one? - Yes, It might be more expensive than you are willing to pay.

Keep in mind that Mustang part numbers usually have two Zs in them, and only the first one corresponds to Mustang production (i.e E7ZZ-XXXX). The second Z denotes that the part is a Standard Service Part. Plus, most parts are not stamped with actual part numbers; they get Ford Engineering Numbers which don't directly correspond to the part number.
I'll check my shelf for you MS. I had the factory cam from my '89 GT at one point, but think its now gone (par for the course). I'll PM you if its still there.

I always figured there are a thousand garages out there with a stock camshaft stuck on a back shelf, collecting dust.
I have two Explorer cams that are similar, but have less duration. Much prefer the HO camshaft.

I have a 98 explorer camshaft Im pulling soon and selling. Ill have to check out its markings too.
