what kind of air stapler and staples to do a convertible top?

I'm going to attempt to install a new convertible top on the 93.  I need to get an air stapler. I just dont know what type/size of staples to use or what type of air stapler shoots them.

Re: what kind of air stapler and staples to do a convertible top?

I used my combination air nail/staple gun with some 1/4 inch staples. You will go through a lot of them. My old top was really rotten, so I spent the majority of my time removing the old staples first.

Good Luck!

I had an electric one from sears and wet through about 1,000 staples on my 70.

You want to use stainless steel staples to ensure they are not going to rust prematurely.
