Specs are 1/16” to 1/18”
Under what conditions is one desirable over the other?

From my experience, for drag racing cars, toe is set at 1/16" to reduce front wheel drag. For the street 1/8", some recommend 3/16", to keep the car straight and from reacting too quickly when changing lanes.

You need a tow in when you break down!

On a drag car I'd set it to 0. I find 1/8" total to be good for a street car. Any more and you will probably get noise from tire scrub in tight turns. On a track car, depends on the track. A long track I'd keep the toe in for stability, but on a twisty track I would actually run a little toe out to help with turn in on corner entry.

I have always liked the staggered set up and had good results with that.
My toe in is 1/8” on the 205-60 R15 front and the rears are shod with 225-69 R15’s. The tires are BFG Radial TA’s.
I don’t see any abnormal tire wear, just wanted to know what others are running.
My favourite tire was the BFG G Force Comp 2 , they are a great summer performance tire but unfortunately they don’t make the sizes I want anymore.
