    Summit 500 is back ordered  till late october so no.

    Its really me....I fixed my caps lock .

    I’d just run what you have.

    Since you’re going with a roller cam, no hi rpm break in process is required

    Perhaps this would be a great time to read up on your carb and rebuild/tune it to your fancy.

    That’s me though.

    That was the plan but it turned out unbuildable  had lots of bent parts and corosion ....so now looking for like a 600 vac sec

    The Edelbrock 1406 is 600 cfm with vacuum secondaries.

    68 coupe - 351W, 4R70W, 9" 3.25 -- 65 convertible - 289 4v, C4, 8" 3.00

    Think I would go with the Summit of those 3.  I've heard nothing but good things about them.

    I ended up ordering another 570 Avenger had really good performance with it on my 289 last 20 years it never had to touch it and Holley had them at a good price refurbished on their website.

    Its really me....I fixed my caps lock .

    If it were me, I would probably have ordered the Summit carb and waited or sourced a rebuilt Autolite 4100. But that's just me...
    The original Autolite for these engines were about 480cfm, so it might be worth checking that you don't have too much carb with a 570cfm.
    I LOVE my Autolite 4100 and will keep that for long as I can and then the next step for me is the Summit 500.

    BILLY.......keep in mind this engine you are having built is waaay more stronger than your old 289!
    More compression....more cam...better exhaust set-up... maybe better ignition(MSD)...etc.
    Since the power level has been stepped up greatly.......your 'old' cob-berator (that was fine on the 289) will prolly be choked nearly to death trying to feed this animal you're running now.
    IMHO............500 cfm carb will just barely be big enough!!
    600 cfm won't be too much for your set up
    (Trust old Sal on this)

    Hope it turns out better than my rebuilt Holley, rebuilt by Holley.   Coating on the inside of the 
    float bowls flaking off, power valve gasket torn, needle and seat looked like it hadn't been changed.
    Just saying...
