Hi. My 65 had manual steering and I did the Borgison kit from CJs about 8-10 years ago. I like the feel as it is very tight and does not feel like a super PS car. I have the Shelby drop, ft/rr sway bars, KYB gas-a-just shocks and 225/60x15 TAs on American torq trushers along with dropped springs ft and rr. no tire rub but its close

gonna get the Borgeson kit soon

RUST FREE CAR
Offline
Yeah, we sometimes get a few raindrops now and then up here, but our cars are rust free because we keep them out of the rain.... only drive them when the sun is out. Now if you take a look at all those East coast cars, where they salt the roads in the winter - there's some rusty cars......

Borgeson is definitely an upgrade, in my opinion. Swap eight hoses for two. Eliminate a separate ram piston and a reaction valve. Get rid of fifty plus years of worn out steering box. Use a more modern pump.
Improved steering ratio.
How would you compare it to your rack in your Fastback?

If I had a car needing power steering, I would go with borgeson vs r&p. Driving it, you can’t tell much difference and the rack adds alot of extra hardware and bellows. The borgeson is a much cleaner, better fitting mod, unless you have big headers that interfere with the box
Consider price
Borgeson…. Under $1,000
TCP power rack…. $3,000
Kind of makes it easier to choose
My TCP rack with KRC pump has been in use on my 66 since 2005. You all know I drive my car alot. No leaks, seepage or any note of a leak. Very good quality, so if you want a rack, that is a good one.
My 69 has the borgeson with about 1,500 miles and zero problems. It handles and steers perfectly.
