1966 Mustang Coupe, 5.0 Swap
I know how to adjust the vent windows with the two adjustment bolts. They are the ones with socket head and one piece washer.
But what am I exactly adjusting for? I have both vent windows installed so now I just need to adjust them for something. From a youtube video, it seems they control tilt. I don't want to over do it and break the vent window frame. How do I know when the vent window is correctly adjusted?
thank you

When the front edge is parallel to the body of the car and the weatherstrip is evenly compressed.
Then, make sure it and the glass tracks align so the rear of the window matches the B pillar on fastbacks or the quarter window on coupes and convertibles. It is a balancing act, front and rear.
I leave the upper elevator bolt really loose until the bottom one gets the frame aligned with the A pillar, then adjust the top one snug afterwards. Otherwise you can get the frame in a bind and possibly break it.
Silicone spray is your friend to keep the glass easily moving in the tracks.

Adding to MS’s response, you’re adjusting the fit (crush) into the weatherstripping to eliminate wind noise from the window area.
