I'd have to take the floor out of the bedroom above my garage to install a lift.  I did suggest this to my wife, she said she'd think about it ... that was three years ago!
And yes, I'm jealous of anyone who has a lift.

My garage at home has 8 foot ceiling and I have my 4 post lift here. I just use a roll around low seat or creeper and don't raise the car too high. It is wonderful. I can even catch a little nap while at it. I have a building across town with my two post lift there that is an extra wide and extra tall one for trucks and such. I use them both quite often. So I would not hesitate to put a 4 post in even if you can't party under it with a car on it. If I only had one lift it would be a four post with a bridge jack. I did everything on it till I got the two post one.
