Coolant leak

Hey everyone hoping someone can help us out with a problem we’re having on a 68 mustang with a 289. It looks like the coolant is leaking when we fill it up from the front passenger side corner on the intake and back driverside corner. It looks like it’s coming from 2 bolts that go through the intake then are open then goes into the heads . Do we need to put thread sealant on these bolts or does it sound like we should pull and re seal the intake?  Any help is appreciated.

Re: Coolant leak

Sounds like new intake gaskets are needed. Have you tried retorquing the intake bolts?   Don’t overtorque!  The corners of the intake can crack.

Money you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted money... unless your wife finds out.

Re: Coolant leak

Ok. Thanks. No. Haven’t tried retorquing it yet. Will try that and if doesn’t work will pull it.
