Right you are Ron!! Thanks ever soo much, cos in this specific aircraft I have a litte history. Not only have I crewed the plane pictured, in it I have also been catpulted from and trapped aboard;  USS America CVA-66, and USS JFK CVA-67. Though it now seems to be numbered as Ranger 10, it was then either Ranger 3 or Ranger 5.
Next time I'm back in Dallas it will be an easy jaunt over to Mecham Field. Which I've also flown from.
Muchas Gracias Ron,

Corky

Re: Hey Corky - check this out

Hey Corky, did you ever fly into Argentia NFLD?  I know the Navy modded some those planes for electronic  surveilance when the Cold War was on.  We were up there for a few years while Dad looked for subs acousticaly in the SOSUS program.  Kip

Rumor had it that some of the Ranger birds were flying from Newffie'land, however that was in the mid 60's before I joined the squadron. I wouldent be at all surprised if some of our EP-3E's didn't use Argentia o occasion. Our EP-3E's had no stinger, as we weren't looking for subs.
