I replaced my emergency/parking brake cable yesterday and it seems to be the worst (least fun) repair on my 68. It involves working under the dash, lower firewall, and under the car all for a small project. Also, the parking brake handle design is not very good in my opinion with the pin you have to drive into the shaft to hold the handle on.
What is the worst part to repair in y'all's experience?

Even with the driver seat out replacing the pwr. brake booster was enough to make me want to kill the individual or group of engineers who designed the ignorant thing.🤬

Body repair.

Heater core on a 69. For sure.

Working under the dash is definitely up there, but I think most bodywork tops the list. I tend to put it off the longest on all my vehicles.Â

The worst thing to have to repair is the last thing you just finished installing.

Steve, I agree... there is nothing more frustrating than having to redo something you just did!

TKO - I agree, working under the dash is my vote. Tried body work and paint in my younger days, quickly realized that I didn't have the patience for it. Â

Installing the A/C under the dash on 67-68 model is absolutely the worse for me. After 6 yrs. of putting if off, I finally found a quality mustang guy to install it for me. Biggest hurdle is now behind me. Cost a pretty penny but it is finally done!

After mulling over this for a few days I finally decided it was installing the clutch return spring under the dash that I didn’t need with the hydraulic clutch and the pivot bolt for the brake pedal. Both of those are worse than header bolts and spark plugs.

Repairing nearly anything that some ham-fist has made a mess of.

Top loader shifter was worn. 2 - 3 shift would hang up in 2nd with shifter in neutral. I had to crawl under and move the shift arm. try that in the middle of the night when it is raining.
Oh. Another. Burning out starters every 6 months or so. Fix was to go to shorty headers giving more space away from starter and putting insulation around starter. I learned to change out a starter via an 18" extension (1/4") under the right-side headers to get at the top mounting bold. With it I could change out the starter in 15 min.

Oooh, that's a good one. Yeah, that ranks high too, especially if its wiring related.Â

Cutting front coils a bit at a time to get a desirable ride height , I needed Valium by the time I was done both of them.
Always a fear of the last cut being too much!
