Yeah… I don’t know why anyone who is not remotely interested in buying it feels compelled to complain about the price. But, it has not sold at $2,950 yet either…

There are some real turds on there!
I had a brand-new of trick flow head that I listed on there. I bought them individually on Summit and thats how I was going to sell them. I got crucified for listing them individually. I had stated it was for one head only. Had numerous people reply they would pay that price for both but not one. I had the head listed well below what Summit racing had them priced at. After that experience I listed them on Ebay and Market place. Ended selling one of them on Ebay.

Brutality on facebook marketplace is insane.

Brutal on the facebook group: Ford SBF 5.0 parts
Seems like the place where a-holes flock together..
Many of the people responding to ads on Marketplace are clearly the product of a brother and sister marriage.....

Real nice Ford fan came down from Austin to buy it. Since he was going use EFI on it, I reduced the price $100 and I kept the rebuilt carb I had put on it.

What's a Ford fab? Do they grow those in Texas? (glad you got your engine/motor sold)
Sound of can of worms opening.......Is it a motor or is it an engine?

Seems like a fair price. That's pretty much the same setup as in my 66 and not too far off from what I spent.

I wanna see how you run the hose into the cobra air cleaner.

You need one of these. Drill and tap the base of the air cleaner for 1/2” npt in front of the carb. Add a 5/8” heater hose over to the breather cap.
I found the brass fittings on ebay.
REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
