Here in DE we had a GM plant on Boxwood Road that produced Saturns until it closed. It was vacant until it was supposed to be opened as a Fisker production facility. It was heavily funded by both the Federal government and the State of DE. All told they received close to $400 million dollars and the plant never opened. This is in addition to the $1 billion they got from private investors. The company went bankrupt and all assets were sold for less than $150 million. Its reported the Federal government took a $139 million loss. I've never head DE's loss quantified, but speculation is it exceeds $100 million. I'm not an expert in math, but something tells me that a lot of money went missing, and I'll bet it ended up in the pockets of Fisker's executives, including Fisker himself. Eventually the plant was torn down and sold to Amazon. Its better than it being empty, but I'm guessing the 5,500 UAW jobs lost when the GM plant closed was a heck of a lot better for the economy in DE than a bunch of Amazon employees making minimum wage.

Like eye-sad above...........when the govt. subsidies go away......the EV craze will dry up.

Quite interesting. Ammonia makes sense with 3 hydrogen atoms. The issue it seems is that pesky nitrogen atom. However, Diesels generate a lot of NOx emissions which are reduced through the use of EGR, and possibly there some form of catalytic reduction they haven't fully explored yet. Its another technology that should be being explored, yet one our government is probably clueless about (making it just like most anything else).

You're not wrong. 3 impeachments in my lifetime, and I approved of NONE of them. Its just weaponizing the legislative branch to attack their political enemies. Now they've weaponized the court systems as well. I don't know what bothers me more, that they're doing it or the mock outrage with which they do it.

Not surprising, they're auto industry by and large is much smarter than ours.
