FIRST, I know its plenum not "plenium" BUT old habits die hard UGGG.When I am monologging fore these videos it takes some doing to come up with the content on the fly as I am speaking it and habits tend to win. Second, I m very happy with how well these units coupled together.

I like it. I assume you will machine the top plenum after welding?

Do your plans include making the upper an open plenum, just below the throttle bodies?

yes that is correct. I am kind of leaning toward a two piece plenum made of two 3/4" chunks sandwiched together. Not 100% sure. I design as I go and will decide after I get the bottom of the upper cut and milled.

Yes there will be an open plenum for all 8 cylinders to share from all 4 butterflies. It will be a small plenum but should b e good enough to balance things out.

Cool video !
I'm leaning toward plan B ( open piece with the ends welded together.) Seems that would be the EZ'est route.
Butt-watt do I know about FI !?!

Before you cut the upper…
I would suggest getting your air cleaner base, throttle bodies, and the distributor you plan to use (w/ wires attached) and see how they play together.
Perhaps an “ideal height” can be achieved to maximize air filter height and minimize overall height under the hood.
I wouldn’t worry about loosing torque on a 393w. That puppy will need air.

Plan A didn't quite come together like I wanted it to so I did an update on how I am going to pivot.
