    Local Rotary club car show / balloon fair.

    Went to a balloon fair and car show today put on by a local Rotary club.

    Was fun but chaotic.  The usual grounds for the balloon fair were occupied by a USFS wildfire camp supporting a local wildfire this year.  That resulted in Rotary moving the event to a local airport (closed the strip for 3 days).  Local airport was chaos, the car show started at 0800 when the chase crews and balloon spectators were leaving the airport.  Catch was the airport gate is one vehicle wide, so the car show traffic was idling in queue.  Once we all got on the grounds the show was fun, lots of food vendors.  At the end they let those who wanted to run on the runway.  One guy came out of the woodwork with a 429.

    I would sure like to see that car in person. How about a second—best?  Post some good overall pics of it!

    I didn’t take any pics at the show like a bonehead.  Will take some this coming weekend if it isn’t raining.
