MS what was that grean stuff you were talking about?

Sitting in your garage you mentioned a green cleaning liquid that you soak used pistons in.  What was the name of it again?  Any special treatment after it comes out other then rinsing it with water?

If it isn't broken...modify it anyway! http://www.DazeCars.com https://galaxieforum.boardhost.com

Re: MS what was that grean stuff you were talking about?

Not green
PURPLE

It is called PURPLE POWER.
You can buy it at OReilly or WalMart but best deal is Amazon for about $7 for the 2.5 gallon size. About $20 at OReilly for same thing.

I rinse with water afterwards and then wipe with motor oil to keep from flash rust on engine blocks. I use Dawn to follow up on the pistons and aluminum stuff. Makes them smell better!

I wear gloves to keep from getting really dry skin. Best results on pistons is to just soak them for a few days. 50-50 or full strength works about the same.

Money you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted money... unless your wife finds out.
