Does anyone have a source for a small male distributor cap?

I am looking to convert a Duraspark distributor from the wider cap to the narrower cap. I realize an old-school points distributor cap will fit on a Duraspark ignition. However, I don’t want to change the spark plug wires. So I’m looking for a replacement cap that would fit on an old-school distributor, but has male prongs instead of female prongs.

I do believe this is what you are looking for.  You can probably use that number to find some cross references.

Re: Does anyone have a source for a small male distributor cap?

Thanks but according to the listing "These will also fit OEM Mopar V8 distributors"  no mention of Ford anywhere on the listing and every compatibility is for a Chrysler product

I think Greg is correct ... original application is an IH distributor.

AMC and Some Mopar distributors use the same early Ford cap.

I ran across this in HAMB as well as VMF too.

HAMB is where I initially found this.

I HAD NO CLUE!!  That is going to make it into a YouTube video.  Thanks

Thanks for the info, I really appreciate it.  I both love and hate rockauto. 😂😂 Fantastic pries for the parts but a lot of times the shipping is where they get you.  I found an Amazon option and got it ordered.

Thanks everyone for the help!!

Re: Does anyone have a source for a small male distributor cap?

I wish I had found that. I already bought wires for my standard size female type cap. Would have preferred those.

Re: Does anyone have a source for a small male distributor cap?

What's the attraction for the male end cap? Does it provide a better fit/connection than the female? I bought a male cap a few years ago for a Duraspark distributor but never made the swap. The smaller cap fits fine when you remove the adapter.

Simple, I want to change cap to the smaller one but not be required to change the plug wires as well.

I prefer the positive fit of the plug wires on the male cap.
