    Any one try these progressive springs

    I am looking to put progressive springs on my 68 Cougar. There are many options even though some are not in stock at the moment. So I would like to see if any one has experience with these or any other that they may recommend?

    Changing springs due to moving to a more rural area and the 1" drop springs are way to harsh for the roads here.

    When I bought progressives for the 69, I checked theirs and even thr oicture had the Scott Drake logo on them, so I just bought them from Summit.
    Progressives are on my 66 as well.  Best way to go
    Warning.  They sat 4” higher when first installed than they do a year later.  So, multiple alignments are required to keep the car drivable through the settling process.

    Money you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted money... unless your wife finds out.

    Before blaming the springs, what shocks are up front?

    I had 90’s vintage Mustangs Plus springs and the KYB Gas-a-Just for over 25 years.

    If I drove on a washboard road, driving was usually kept below 20 mph to keep fillings in my teeth.
    Some roads were less than 10 mph.

    I tested my theory about the springs not being the problem by temporarily removing them and driving up and down my Michigan moon crater road in front of the house.

    It was not harsh at all.  Reinstalled shocks immediately after my test drive.

    Try this experiment.  BTW, speed was kept below 55 mph on this straight 2 mile road.
    I live out in da boonies, eh?

    May also want to check suspension stops and if shocks are bottoming out too.
