Window seal/gaskets

I'm trying to convince myself to replace the vent window and rear 1/4 window seals/gaskets.
I've done this on another old classic and it wasn't a fun job...
I will probably start with the rear 1/4 window and then do the front vent windows.
The windows are all original.
Does anyone have any tips that I can follow to make the job easier?
Thanks!

Re: Window seal/gaskets

Only tip I have is to take your time, don’t get frustrated, it can be a tidiness job.

Re: Window seal/gaskets

Thanks Bob...
One thing I've often wondered is whether just purchasing the complete reproduction vent window assemblies and fitting those, while putting my original ones away?
Has anyone had experience with the reproduction vent windows?

Re: Window seal/gaskets

I used the originals, they are not pristine, and have some 'bubbles' in the chrome, but I was not about to take a chance on reproduction replacements when I re-built the car 25 years-ago.
And I can't say anyone commenting on the car mentioned the vent window frames.
I'll add that one could probably clean them up smooth and paint them a statin black and many people wouldn't even notice.
