Well I hope I didnt do a cardnel sin but I installed a set of OEM back up lights on my 65. Not so I could see while backing up. I put red LEDs in them and wired them as a third brake light. I installed a hyper flasher so they flash 3 times then stay on. I have LEDs in my stock rear lights but just wantted to get peoples attention a little more while there on there phones or watching a DVD on there dash.

Just a comment ... when I first saw the 3-blinking stop lights I thought it was a good idea. Then one day, stuck in stop-and-go-traffic on the highway, the car in front of me had the the 3-blink lights, within a few minutes the blinking was driving me crazy. Just saying.
However, Cab4word, novel idea!

I went with the LED in my tail lights of my Cougar. I think they are more than bright enough to get attention of other drivers.

I installed the sequential LED tail light assemblies after following Dave68's car at the Bash in Kalispell in 2011. They impressed me as being bright even in daylight and I liked the sequential turn signal feature too.

Bob, they only flash 3 times then they stay on steady tell you release the pedal so they should not be driving anyone crazy while stopped

True, but it was stop-and-go traffic, so the driver was on and off the brakes.
