Ya'll met Johnny at our Texas bash a couple years ago. Does Hot Rod interiors. 75+ years old and still working on these old cars.
He always calls me and says I need to come see what he has in his shop.
Two cars for sale
1970 Ford XL. One owner never been touched. Body straight. 90K miles on it. 429 beast of an engine that rumbles. I have never seen one. Johnny had only seen one before. Only asking 15K. Anna said no.
1964 Galaxy 500XL. Painted once still looks all original. Same owner. I hate this coral color.

429 with a 2 barrel carb. Screams power! My father in law had a Mercury with that engine when I first started dating Sherry. That thing would make a great Bash car for very little money.
Love that dirt floor in his shop.

That is his riding barn. His shop has concrete.

One of my high school classmate's mom had a 1970 XL with the 429. Cool arse car that rumbled too.

That 1964 four door hardtop is not as rare as the 1963 fdh. One of the things that is buggered up in mine is those rear windows. For some reason, those 63 windows just get ate up on the inside with the pot metal pitting. I got hold of one of those 64 rear windows, which for some reason hold up much better, and I learned that even though the top part of the frame is completely different, the base can be interchangeable, even though Ford has different part numbers on them. The front windows are a direct interchange.
