Re: Wanted 65 or 66 stock 5 lug rear end

I do have a 65 axle 3.00 gearing, i did pull it apart, had some interesting in the 3rd member but they found one local. Are you looking for one complete with brake hardware or just the housing, 3rd member and axles?
Unfortunately im located in Southern Tx, so not so close.

Re: Wanted 65 or 66 stock 5 lug rear end

I HAVE A COMPLETE REAR AXLE ASSEMBLY I TOOK OUT OF MY 65 FASTBACK.  IT HAS BRAKE ASSEMBLES AND CABLES FOR EMER. BRAKE. THE AXLE CODE ON THE DOOR SHOWS "F". WHICH SHOWS IT TO BE A 2.80:1 AND LIMITED SLIP.  I CAN'T SPEAK TO THAT'S WHAT IT IS AS I WAS NEVER INSIDE IT.  I DROVE IT FOR A WHILE BEFORE CHANGED EVERTHING TO A 9 INCH LINCOLN VERSAILLE ASSY.  IT DIDN'T HAVE ANY PROBLEMS BEFORE I CHANGED IT OUT.  IT DOES NEED A NEW PINION SEAL.  IT DOESN'T LEAK ALL THAT BAD, BUT IT DOES DRIP AFTER SITTING A WHILE.  I AM LOCATED SOUTH OF SPRINGFIELD, MO.  I WOULD SELL IT FOR $350 IF YOU"RE INTERESTED.  THANKS

Re: Wanted 65 or 66 stock 5 lug rear end

I see you’re looking for a 65, 66. I have a 70 five stud for a 250 six cylinder with no brakes. I don’t know what the difference is but you can have it if you want to come to Dallas and pick it up. I’m pretty sure it is slap worn out cause it’s making noise like pinion gears. It has 150,000 miles on it.

The 70 rear axle is 2” wider than the 65-66
