Pretty trick, Mike. As long as you have enough inner cable to re-wrap the end without shortening your throws.

Sal - thanks for sharing, that is a cool trick.

I like that! I hope I never have to do it, but I like it!

I never had the tool to make those stepped ends on lawn mower throttle cables, but I learned how to do it with a pair of vice grips after my dad showed me. Made hundreds of them for him. That was like the number 1 thing that people broke on their mowers back in the day.
Now they are all self-govenering. Dang it, if I want my mower to idle, I want it to idle!
Don't get me started on gas cans!
Anyways cool tool idea. I guess that is one thing I inherited from my dad. "If I need a tool I will make it!"

GAS CAN !!!!!!!!!Grrrrr....
Ya know you can buy a container for potable water and it doesn't have all the 'nanny-state' junk incorperrated on it.
Also there IS a way to short circuit the "safety" stuff that makes you spill more gas all over the place !
(just don't your Democrat friends see it because you 'could' get a hefty-hefty-hefty fine for modifying it.)
Ain't it great how the gov is working so hard(pun intended)... to protect us from ourselves while we amass a 30 trillion dollar debt !
Ya OK....(nice go'in Greg B !!!)

That's really neat. I wish there was some hope I'd remember it if I ever found myself in that situation :-/
REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
