The Alamo beer company declared bankruptcy.
What are all those Texans going to do now?

Dos Equis!

I thought everyone down there drank Lone Star?

Nobody drinks either one of them, apparently. When in college, lots of Lone Star was transported in my 70 Mustang convertible, and while shooting pool at the Dixie Chicken.

What will Hank Hill, Dale, Bill, and Boomhower drink in that alley now?
I had one when I was in Ana Antonio years back. Just couldn't resist the novelty. Not bad, but I prefer Shiner Bock.
Offline
Besides all the offerings from the majors Shiner is always a Texas fav, DFW has a bunch of craft places that aren't too bad, but I've never been a fan of the dude's with man buns putting chocolate, apricot, insert whatever, in beer so I am kinda glad the whole craft beer thing is dying down.
No offense to anyone here with a man bun

Not that I drink much beer anymore, but I've switched to Yuengling's FLIGHT beer. Just no reason to drink anything else after getting hooked on it. Although it does sometimes get hard to find.

Another benefit of living near Philly. Potsville isn't far away either. When I went to college in '96 up in Allentown I had never heard of Yuengling. It quickly became a favorite. We used to make black and tan before they sold it premade. I just had a lager yesterday to celebrate the end of the wrestling season for my youngest.

Yuengling is the oldest beer company in the US. What little I drank II used to drink it when available in the US.

How the heck do you Bankrupt a beer Co? Must have been taking Bookkeeping lessons from the good ole boys in D.C.

As long as we’re on a beer topic, the Mexican Modelo beer advertisements is getting a lot of air time on TV here in NY. Are you guys seeing the same thing?
BTW - I'm a fan of Yuengling’s Black & Tan and Lager beers lately.
Offline
Not too picky on what beer I drink but if we go out to eat a Yuengling is usually on top of my list if I have a beer.

Notice in my picture the one Ying-Ling beer I keep on the door of the fridge so it doesn’t contaminate the good stuff. My neighbor likes that brand so I keep some on hand, but I have not developed a taste for it. I rarely even drink any of it, hence the Pepsi Zero stash.

Allegedly Modello is the top selling beer in the US now. Negro Modello and Modello Especial I like. I can't drink Corona. Much like Bud it gives me a headache the next day, even if I only drink one.
REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
