    Single to dual bowl master cylinder conversion.

    This is for a '61 F100, but should be pretty much the same as doing it on an early mustang.
    When swapping out the single bowl master cylinder (looks like the same single bowl master cylinder that is on my father-in-law's '66 mustang) to a dual bowl master cylinder do I need to use any kind of residual valve or proportioning valve for a 4-wheel drum setup?
    I'm thinking not, but I have read some posts on the internet where some people seem to think you do.

    Also, can someone recommend what vehicle to buy a 4-wheel drum, dual bowl master cylinder for to use in this application?  I think I read somewhere that some people are using the master cylinder for a '68 mustang with 4-wheel drums... sound reasonable?

    No need for any kind of valves on that truck.  The 68 Mustang MC for drum/drum will work, as will the one for a 67 or newer F-100. 

    MAKE SURE when you change out the mc that the rod cannot pull out the back of the mc if the pedal is pulled back towards the driver seat.

    Money you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted money... unless your wife finds out.
