I'm selling a Ford 8" differential with center chunk. The differential is 54-3/4" wide, measured from the outside of the end flanges. This is the factory width in the 1967-1970 Mustangs. The unit is complete (but no axles) and, as far as I can tell, straight.
The center section tag says that it's a 2.79:1 ratio with a Powertrax Lock-right installed. It worked well but developed a lot of slop, so I removed it. I didn't see anything broken inside but it will need to be gone through. The casting number on the center section is C7OW-4025-A and has the FOMOCO logo in the casting as well.
Asking $200/offer, cash only. I don't want to ship this but am willing to travel a little - say an hour from my home in Mitchell, SD - to meet you.
Please PM me with interest/questions/offers

Here's a photo of the casting number and tag on the third member. Unfortunately I was not able to add it to the original ad post.
REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
