Found a new reservoir for my P/S pump

Found this to swap the ham can GM pump housing to a Ford design. It has a better return line entry tube that will not put the hose against the exhaust manifold like the one that came from Borgeson.

find duplicate lines

Re: Found a new reservoir for my P/S pump

Is that the van/truck housing used for Ford Sbf’s?

Sure looks like it but has a better routing for the return hose.

Here is a common Saginaw pump from about 67-74 used on many Chevrolets.

Re: Found a new reservoir for my P/S pump

Where did you find the housing at?  I posted a picture of one of those about a year ago.   It was a hard to find thing, now it looks as if they are being reproduced in several different return nipple configurations.

If multiple things can go wrong, the one that will go wrong will be the one that causes the most damage.

Re: Found a new reservoir for my P/S pump

I found it on ebay. Was under $40 shipped

Your pic gave me the idea. I just could not get past the shape of that ham can pump

At least you “can” get a replacement at local grocery store. 😁
