    wheel studd help please......

    Does anyone know of a wheel stud that will fit 1965 Mustang I need one 1/4 inch to a 1/2 inch longer than the Dorman 610-441.1 (0.623" knurl, 2-3/16" long)  they are 1/2-20 thread  that I currently have on it not getting enough lug nut engagement to feel safe so if someone know of a stud that has all the same but is 1/4 inch  to 1/2 inch longer I would greatly appreciate it.

    got a photo?  there a lot of different stud designs with all of yoiur specs.

    Look at Summit and go through all of the filter choices.

    ARP and Moroso have 3” studs that you can cut down too.

    Got some 3 inch studs had them cut down now I need to get them on the car.

    What wheels are you installing that require longer studs? Are you sure your backspacing will be correct with the thicker wheels? Just wondering.....

    68 coupe - 351W, 4R70W, 9" 3.25 -- 65 convertible - 289 4v, C4, 8" 3.00

    The Shelby 10 spoke 17 inch. 
    They are on the car just not as much engagement as I would like.

    Glad you found something.
    Another option for the future is ET Lugs, they still have a tapered seat, but extend into the wheel hole for much more engagement.
