I left out on Tuesday the 16th to drive 14 hrs 953 miles  and did not run A/C cause it was making a crazy sound ...its HOT IN A BLACK 65 MUSTANG WITH BLACK INTERIOR .
Somewhere along the way ran out of gas cause gauge is off from putting 22 gallon tank in. I started walking up Highway and a nice Gentleman from Lafette Louisana stopped in a very nice BMW and took me to Gas station and I bought a a 2 gallon gas tank filled it up and he took me back to car. I tried to pay him and he advised that God would punish him if he took and money for helping me. 

We stopped about 2 hours from the original MustangSteves house it was about 430 am when we checked in a hotel .

Wednesday the 17th at 12 pm we started on our adventure to get to Steves we stopped at Buccees and ate a Brisket sandwich shopped around a little fueled up and started to Steve's got there around 4 pm. Steve found out from my wife that the A/C was not working. Soooo....Steve said pull it up to the shop and lets check the belts and thats all it was so no the A/C was working good but....another problem emerged the ignition switch malfunction and the key just spun around and around. Soooo0......engineer Steve hotwired in=t and pulled it into the shop and ran me a toggle switch for power and a starter button. 
Then we went to a nice  Restaurant came back to his house and went to bed.


Thursday the 18th  Jose and his wife came to Steves about 9 am we met with Todd in his Gold 70 coupe with the 390 and automatic (THAT THANG WILL PULL) and headed off to the Hotel. 
Met up with the crew at the Hotel and talked about stuff


Friday the 19th  we all went over to Whits shop and I drained my gas tank with hand pump and Steve put sending unit in and it still leaked soooooo. Steve said take the tank out and I will fix it. 
Soooo. I took tank out and Steve reinstalled the sending unit hit a few times poured a Diet Pepsi on it and I poured a couple Gallons gas in it and it did not leak. 
We broke for lunch and after we all got back the tank was reinstalled and I went to store and filled the 22 gallon tank till it ran out top. NO MORE LEAK.

Saturday the 20th
Bash met up with all our Bash and even of Steves twin daughters  Kat came by and sat with us. After the Bash we all met back up at Whits house and shop again Had a ton of food I think Whit cooked 100 burgers.

Sunday the 21fst lodaded up and headed back towards Georgia on I-20.
85 miles from home hit a pot hole and bent front passenger rim did not notice till we stopped at Buceess and my wife said that looks bent. so I just drove on home and  I think I averaged around 17-18 mpg running 70-75 with A/C blaring.


PUT OVER 2000 miles on car this trip.
