Check the manufacturer of both.........See if Amazon or Walmart.com has the same gasket for le$$ !?
Hard to believe everybody would use the same manufacturer if it was crummy.....
I guess I'm say'in.....probably everybody buys from the same Weiger/Chinaman that makes it......
(Hope ya do'in OK Chris............)

Try these guys:
I believe all their stuff is made in the USA, and they have a good reputation from what I've read.

If you are inquiring about glass, I have no clue. If you are asking about the rubber gaskets, I highly recommend TKO's suggestion of Steele Rubber.

I replaced the glass and rubber back when I got my car, for some reason it had weld splatter on the inside.
The seal came from NPD IIRC and I had a local Speedy Auto Glass source the windshield and install it.
The glass was marked PPG and not Carlite labelled , for me not an issue.

I received this info from Kelly_H, apparently there is an issue with some 65/66 glass rubber being too thick which makes installing the trim nearly impossible.
Hi Bob, good to hear from you and happy New Year! I used the imported cheapo option from NPD - believe it was tagged under Gold Glass Group but maybe that's the rear gasket brand - either way, it's thinner than the Daniel carpenter and MUCH thinner than the Scott Drake so it fits under the trim way better

Thanks everyone, got my new clips (screw on type) today, seals arrive from Steele Monday and a local glass guy who just did the chevy 55 ordered me a new windshield. As soon as I get it all out and cleaned up he will install the 2 glasses. likely first of the year due to me being so slow and getting all ready

Hi everyone, Just a fast update on my glass adventure. Windshield and rear glass is out, all has been cleaned up and ready for the new glass install, Had no rust anywhere so that is a good thing of course this was a Fresno CA car . Have seals from Steeler,( Thanks TKO ) new clips from EBay although I will use the original screws as they are stainless. ( really could have used the clips too I guess) My glass guy that I found is great and simi retired. He did the Chevy 55 we are working on and said he would do it if I did the prep work, so I did. Got the new windshield from his local distributor for cost (145.00) He will be installing all tomorrow cant wait to have a dry car.

I had a new windshield installed in my 69 last year. t has the glue-in type. A local shop installed it AND supplied the glass for $189! Yeah, it was off-brand glass, but had the proper tint band at the top and you could see through it. It worked great! For the 65 convertible, I will try to source a Carlite. But, I will be installing it myself
