Got my Rear light panel replaced

Took a little over 6 hours....partly because I had added some extra welds that took extra time to remove...but it came out pretty good. And it was a Ford tooling piece I got from Mustangs Unlimmited that does have a slight bow. Have since ground the spotwelds flush. Still waiting on the weather to warm up and stay dry for a few days so I can prime this beast and start assembling!


Stupid Hurts!...66 coupe, 302, 4 wheel disks...lots of Mods

still have to do this job aswell

did you make a brace before cutting it out,or is this not required ?

Looks like good progress!  You must have warmer weather than MI right now to be able to think about paint.

I don't know if it was required, but no, I didn't make a brace, just measured and recentered the new piece. The corners were pretty rigid.

Looks good . Don't forget to test fit that lower valance

I did test fit the valence, but going to buy a new one as the original has a few dents, dings and bends that I don't want to mess with.
