The MustangSteve cable clutch kit for 67-68 will work perfect for your application.

If I needed a clutch, I'd be trying a Malwood hydraulic setup, not MDL, with a slave cylinder. .
For me, I'm still undecided on the merits of a hydraulic throw out bearing.
There's quite a bit of feedback on Mals clutch setup over on the VMF.

I have the MDL hydraulic setup and am pleased with it. I have the external slave cylinder as I didn’t want to deal with a potential failure of a hydraulic throwout bearing, although they are quite reliable.
I’ll note that one can eliminate the clutch spring under the dash when going to a hydraulic clutch.
If you have power brakes, you’ll need the ‘offset clutch MC” like the one sold by MDL.
If you go with a hydraulic clutch setup, make sure to match the MC to the slave cylinder, or throwout bearing, to ensure the correct stroke length to properly engage/disengage the clutch/pressure plate.
The Malwood setup looks like a nice setup and eliminates the MC on the firewall.
I do have some pictures, and will send along.

I have the MS cable clutch in my '67 and love it. I am not a fan of hydraulic clutch actuation. I find it numb compared to mechanical methods. A cable is also a lot easier to replace if it fails than having to bleed hydraulics. JMO, to each his own.

I also have the MDL hydraulic clutch with the external slave cylinder. I installed it about 5 years ago with no issues.

My son's 66 with 4.6 and T56 has a MustangSteve cable clutch system that works flawlessly.
We previously put a T56 behind a SBC in an early S10 pickup. HATED the hydraulic TO bearing, both during the install/bleed process, and while driving. Like TKO said, it leaves you with a numb feeling.
We also dealt with a hydraulic TO bearing in my son's 04 GTO. I would prefer the master/slave setup over the hydraulic TO setup.
