    tie rod bushings

    This one's for Steve. I have swapped all of the front suspension from my '63 1/2 V8 Comet into my '61 6cyl. Comet. The '63 spindles already had a disc brake kit that uses Granada rotors and GM calipers. I would like to retain the original '61 steering linkage so my question is which if any of the conversion bushings will mate the 6 cyl. tie rods to the V8 spindles?
    The '63 Comet now sets on an econoline straight axle  with D&D discs.

    Most likely the TRB-6567 will do the job, but no gurantees on that If they don't fit, they can be swapped for another size.

    I assume you have already done a test fit...

    Money you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted money... unless your wife finds out.

    Thanks Steve. I have test fit. Actually all done once the steering is resolved. Do you by chance have any dimensions of the TRB-6567 bushings? That would allow me to make the educated guess.

    I did some more homework and found that the bore in my '63 comet spindles is larger than the bore in some '68 mustang spindles that I have. Then I dug out some granada spindles and found that the bore is identical. The TRB65GR bushings should do the trick. What do you think my chances of bumpsteer issues will be with the 6 cyl steering linkage? Thanks

    Chances of bumpsteer should be excellent!  As in, yes, it will occur.
