Hi,
I'd like to ask about the E7 heads. Anything special about these? I'm running a '95 5.0 with stock heads.. would these be a improvement?
thanks.

Those are probably the same heads on your motor. The E7 Head was the stock head on the 87-95 5.0's if I'm not mistaken. The Cobra/Explorer 5.0's came with GT40P heads.
My E7 heads have a sticker on the back side of them with a part number beginning in E7. Maybe there is a sticker on the back of you heads in the same location that will tell you what heads they are (if it hasn't fallen off/been removed).
Hey guys, I'd be interested in the a/c compressor and all the front brackets for a serpentine setup if you aren't using them. I'm heading down to Charlotte next week during the auto fair if that's close to you. Let me know.
As for the cylinder heads, the e7 is just the standard 5.0 head. All 5.0 cobras and early 5.0 explorers have GT40 heads. They will have GT cast into them. Later (more common) 5.0 explorers have what's called GT40P heads. They have 4 bars cast into the end of them. They are identical except the spark plugs are at a different angle, and can cause problems with some exhaust.

I am about an hour (maybe an hour an a half depending on Charlotte traffic) away from Charlotte. I do have the A/C compressor and the bracket for it, however I sold the rest of the serpentine setup (minus the harmonic balancer and the water pump). I still have the A/C compressor and the smog pump. Let me know if you are interested in it.
I do have another 5.0 (Explorer motor with a Cobra intake) with everything, but I was planning on keeping it all until I decided what I wanted to do with the motor as far as a build. I will try to make up my mind before the auto fair and let you know. Me and dad were throwing around the idea of going to the auto fair (as neither of us have been before), so it is possible that we could just bring the A/C compressor to you at the show. Like I said, just keep me posted.
