Wiring 65 Rally Pac

According to my wiring schemetic for Rally Pac tachometer, one wire 16A-Pink goes from "Main Disconnect" to "Tachometer" and has resistor in that pink wire. Since I've converted over to Dura-Spark
ignition and elimated the "Pink" wire, do I need resistor or will Tachometer work on 12 volts. Don't want to fry this unit?
Thanks, Howard

Re: Wiring 65 Rally Pac

Not sure of the exact answer, and one of our electrical gurus might know for sure...  BUT, if you are concerned, you could use the pink wire to run to the tachometer, then the wire from the tachometer to the coil could trigger a relay that kicks in the full 12 volts to the duraspark.

I have run the duraspark blue modules with 9 volts before and they seemed to do OK, but apparently they are supposed to have full 12 volts.

Money you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted money... unless your wife finds out.
