good morning all,
I have 3 speed toploader from a 70 mustang with 302 that I want to put in my 65 mustang that will have a 260 v8 and, of course, a 5 bolt bell housing. My question is will the shifter and its linkage from the 70 toploader work in my 65 mustang? Thanks.

As long as you use the shifter from the transmission you are installing, it will fit in the car. The floor and tranny tunnel/shifter hole in the 65-70 Mustangs was nearly identical.
