Looks great.  Nice workmanship.

Pretend there is a steering wheel and your hands are at 10 & 2.  What is covered up?  You got it.  Both big guages!

Re: Custom Gauge cluster some May like

Yeah I like that .It's different, Everybody's so quick to just swap out to ah 66 cluster no one ever thinks to mod the 65. In fact you could do ah lot with that flat space, maybe set the gauges into pods..

Re: Custom Gauge cluster some May like

Very innovative and looks like very well-made.  Like lowecasesteve, though...  You probably won't be able to see the speedo or tach very well.

I like the concept.

Re: Custom Gauge cluster some May like

I didn't think about seeing the gauges mainly the idea behind it.

Re: Custom Gauge cluster some May like

I like it.  I don't think I have driven with my hands at 10 and 2 since high school so the gauge location might not be a problem.
Nice work!

Re: Custom Gauge cluster some May like

Oh by the way a while ago when I last drove my stang, I had a guy leave his card on my car he restores  classic car gauges and specializes in ford hell even do a custom background for you. Plus I know a mean pinstriper  that could do that also for you guys in interested. The gauge guy said he recalibrates the gauges so they aren't off which my speedometer needs it says I'm going 10miles more than I am. Here's that guys gauge site.

Re: Custom Gauge cluster some May like

Here's a link to an ebay listing where someone has put a Fox Mustang cluster in a 66 where efi is involved.  I kinda like it, too.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-Mustang-Coupe-1966-Restomod-EFI-5-0-1966-ford-mustang-coupe-restomod-efi-5-0-/281277755275?forcerrptr=true&hash=item417d75ef8b&item=281277755275&pt=US_Cars_Trucks

Can't see it real well in the listing, but the idea may have some merit.  Makes me wish I'd saved a few more things from the 86 GT I crushed a few years back.....

Re: Custom Gauge cluster some May like

I kinda liked the fox cluster for if I did a restromod I think I'd do it in a 66 I think that dash would go nice with in conjunction with the fox cluster
