I was looking at ididit and flaming river tilt columns for my 67 cougar. I have an original 67 tilt away swing away column, that I never installed and was thinking of selling it in order to buy the aftermarket column. Is one better than the other? I have heard good things about the ididit, but the from comes in polished stainless. Any tips, problems, experiences, recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

My 67 mustang coupe has the tilt away column.
The swing away part doesn't currently work. I haven't looked into why because that feature doesn't particularly interest me other than the novelty of it.... BUT the tilt part works great... so I just use it as a tilt column.

Pretty much thinking about the ididit column. Surprised that I only received 1 reply on this topic.

I would be interested in your tilt away column should you decide to sell it.

I'd install the tilt column you already have.......
why??????.....you have it, it's made for the car, they're scarce as chicken lips.....how cool is that!!!
I had one for my '68 and never installed it.......ended up selling it and I regret that decision
my two cents.......FWIW

I am gonna check out original tilt, plug it in and try turn signals flasher, etc. If they don't work, then I'm going for the ididit column, as the tilt turn switch with wires is at least $125. That's not counting any mechanisms in the column. But testing vacuum pod on column and turn lever, wheel does tilt. Will check out more closely. I appreciate everyone's input.
