I think I decided on my wheels for my coupe.

Found a thread about the discount tire me old school here's what they look like.

. this is a copy from vintage mustang forum what he's running.

a 1966 Mustang coupe with 289 V8, all stock suspension (to my knowledge).
Non-power drum brakes all around and power steering.
17x8 225/45s front w/4.75" bs; +6 offset, close to upper control arm but does not hit.
17x8 245/45s rear w/ 4.5" bs; 0 offset, plenty of room.

Current ride height from ground to bottom of fender is:
Rear: 26 3/8"
Front:25"
