neutral safety switch 1966 C4

Is the pigtail on a '66 C4 neutral safety switch molded into the switch or can the wires be removed and replaced with new ones? Installing Ron Francis Express wiring system. Need to know if the wires can be attached directly to the switch or do I need to clip the wires close to the switch and make soldered splices? 1966 Fastback 289 V8 C4

Thanks,
Dennis

Re: neutral safety switch 1966 C4

Just a suggestion, but my policy in making modifications is to NOT modify a part that might need to be replaced someday, whenever possible.    If you go to clips-n-fasteners.com or a similar site, you can get OEM style connectors and plugs to fit the switch plugs. That way if you ever need to replace the switch, you can just unplug the old one and plug in the new one.

Money you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted money... unless your wife finds out.
