I have mixed feelings on those swaps.
That is totally awesome car, but just like the 5.0 swap and the 4.6 32v swaps, they will become passe as soon as the next big thing comes along. Those are just the ticket for places that want to show off their talents in building the next big thing, but their intent is not a keeper for themselves.
For a car that you intend to keep, and you want the latest and greatest, you have to completely redo everything every 3-4 years to keep up. If you leave it in somewhat classic state, it will always remain classic, but not the latest and greatest.
Now, where can I get one of those. I could stick it in the 69 coupe and then sell it to BobC for a song and be done with it!

I agree with Steve (at least the classic part). I'm happy with my warmed over 289 with modern updates like brakes and T5. Then again my budget bearly allows me to put gas in it. Those engine swaps make good magezine material though.

Look at the other side of it. If no one was willing to push the envelope, then we might never find the next big thing, like T5 swaps into classic Mustangs, or late model large brakes.

Timely info, Steve69. I've been wondering bout installing a Coyote drive train in the 73 Vert. Front suspension was the big question. Seems as though you've found a good solution.
May be time fer a new project car, Cos I have just about modified Miss May into "Just What I Wanted", when I started on it in 93. Oh yeah there's still A/C, and maybe a bit more.
Though I definately would not want the 2+2 back like it was, even if it ain't what you'd call, "cutting edge".

I agree with MS in leaving it a classic but it would be nice to have new technology in the older Stangs. Who knows maybe in a few years they'll have a Shock tower notched kit that includes engine and transmission mounts so it does bolt in. The other issue is the Brake Booster. That would have to be moved out of the way from the engine. That would look good in your Stang Corky!
