Lincoln Versaille parking Brake connection.

Does anyone have a picture of how the Parking Brake cable connects to the Disc Brakes of a donor Lincoln Versaille rear end. I am looking on how to route the cables and how it ties up to the rear axle. I have all the parts, but the were disassembled and in a box. Mr. Google the great and powerful can't seem to find a decent picture of this set up.

Thank you,

Ed

Re: Lincoln Versaille parking Brake connection.

And yes, MustangSteve I am still considering buying your Brackets to upgrade the discs brakes on this rear end, but until then....

Re: Lincoln Versaille parking Brake connection.

I have exactly what you need.  I installed a Versaille rear axle in my '65 and I found a friend that had a complete car.  He let me crawl under it, and I do mean crawl, it was smeltering hot that day, but I got pictures of how the cables hook up.  The only problem is I don't know what to do with them to get to you.  I am not much on computers.  I have them in a folder under "My pictures"  If someone can walk me through how to send them to you, I would be happy to get them to you.  Thanks  Retired 65

Re: Lincoln Versaille parking Brake connection.

To post a picture, click the UPOAD IMAGE icon in the lower right hand box of the reply box.  It will pop up a window with BROWSE in the window.  Click BROWSE and that will open up your computer's files.  Find the MY PICTURES file, then click on the picture you want to ad.  Once that has been accepted, RESIZE the picture to the MESSAGE BOARD size, simply by clicking that option.  Once that is done, click on the ADD PICTURE to your post box.  Then wait until it finishes, and you are done!  You can repeat that process to add more than one picture.

MS when I got to "Add to your post", I clicked on it and nothing happened and I never saw the pictures anywhere.

Re: Lincoln Versaille parking Brake connection.

You have to make a certain number of posts before it will let you add pictures.  I think ten posts?

Re: Lincoln Versaille parking Brake connection.

Retired 65 emailed me the pictures I asked for. Thank you. It answered the question I had on the position of the cable and spring holder. Bad news, I have to remove a U bolt to install. Thank you for emailing the pictures.

Re: Lincoln Versaille parking Brake connection.

I remember my dad having a 66 GT coupe with a versaille rear end and his best parking brake setup was a wood block! lol
