What kind of steering control does your mustang have?
On my 67 I have the oldstyle power steering, and after fixing a few leaks have been completely happy with it performance. They really work well when set up right.

my old school manual steering is fairly good. not really a issue not having the power. and I don't have the big wondering problem that some have had. I think the new steering parts have helped with that. At some point I would love to have rack 'n pinion.

I had most of my original '67 PS rebuilt (ram, control valve, gearbox and new hoses). Pump is a rebuilt unit, may get a better one later. The rebuilt gearbox was the biggest improvement. I also swapped out my PS pulley for the larger one (have to look up the ford part#) which slows the pump down a little giving back more feel to the system so it's not as overpowered.
