It never seizes to amaze me, the lack of instructions vendors give with the products they sell. I guess they figure the instrutions will come through osmosis. I recently purchased from a Mustang parts supplier, a trunk seal for a '65 Fastback. Nothing in the package as how it fits the trunk area. The seal has a long side on it and a short side. I can't see how the seal stays attaches to the area right above the gas cap. Can someone help with how the seal goes? Thanks

maybe i'm misundersatnding you, but the seal glues to the trunk lid with weatherstripping adhesive on every coupe i've owned. i don't remember my brothers fastback having it mounted anywhere but the trunk lid either.
that straighten it out for you? or am i just confused about what you're talking about?

I'll add that I used 3M weather strip adhesive and have had no issues with mine.
Note: suggest you enlist a helper, this is a lot easier with two people.

Thanks everyone. I see my error now. I was trying to put it on the lip around the trunk opening instead of on the trunk lid. The things I learn.......
