toploader shifter vs t10 shifter

does anyone know if i can fit a standard factory shifter assy(not the gearstick) from a 69 mustang with a 4 speed toploader to a 66 mustang with a t10?

Re: toploader shifter vs t10 shifter

Some parts are common, however, the shift arms on the tranny's are different and The shifter mounting plates are different.

Good try.

I know for sure the shifting arms are different.

Re: toploader shifter vs t10 shifter

between the T10 and the top loader, the mount, shift rods, and dog ears are all different. So, I would say no...

Re: toploader shifter vs t10 shifter

I sold my T10 shifter and rods on EBAY and it for over $175.00.  Maybe you can sell it and buy the one you need for your transmission.
