A Battery Powered '68 'Stang?

Who'd of thunk it?  Here's an interesting link about a '68 Mustang converted to battery power.

Enjoy

Re: A Battery Powered '68 'Stang?

If I could get the equiv of 350 HP, with a range of 350 miles, and recharge in, oh, 35.0 minutes at roughly the same weight,  I'm on board.  But otherwise, old dino is still the king.

The concept is pretty cook, but I'm with Alan... It just don't sound right.

Plus, did you notice the conversion cost?

"Mitch estimated that if Bloodshed supplied the base car, a conversion would run anywhere from $200,000 to $250,000, depending on how much range the customer wanted."

You can buy a LOT of gas for $200,000.

Well like it or not guy's, it's sad to say the electric car IS happening as we speak. And they will out perform the internal combustion engine cars once they figure out the batteries. Here's BMW's new 12 sec quarter mile hybrid....http://www.caranddriver.com/bmw/i8
