Power steering slave cylinder removal on 65 mustang

Need to know if there is a special way to seperate the slave culinder from the center link.. like after I remove the castle nut, do I tap it out with a hammer. Do I get a pitman puller or something. please let me know.

The peice was rebuilt .. but in the recent power steering leak, I think some dirt and gravel got stuck inside the boot.. I cleaned it.. But I think some gravel got in and is now hurt the seal, and causing a leak.

Should I just replace the seals or just replace the whole dang slave cylinder. ??

65 mustang with what I think is a 69 power steering system.. haha.. the hoses that fit are 69 style.. 65 lines were too short.

anywaz.. help

What is the difference between the slave cyulinder on a 65 and 69.. they look the same in pics ?

If it aint broke, I have'nt tried to "Fix" it yet!

Gaba, here's a link to a site that should be able to answer your question, and many others.  This business is just down the road from you - San Antone.
